O'Grady Drama Adelaide is growing fast, with new studio locations opening across Adelaide in 2026.

We deliver a dynamic acting and drama program for students aged 6-18. We are passionate about maintaining the depth and integrity of our curriculum and are looking for long-term members of our team.

Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years or older to be eligible for this position. We welcome all ages above this minimum age to apply.

Whether you're an experienced teacher, performer, or creative professional looking to inspire young people, we'd love to hear from you. Full training provided for the right candidates - no formal drama qualifications needed. However, experience in teaching, performing arts, or youth mentoring will be highly valued.

We are seeking to fill 2-3 positions.

Opportunity for advancement to a part-time studio manager role in mid-2026.

This casual role requires a weekly time commitment of 5-10 hours per week.

After school hours and weekends (never both Saturday and Sunday).

About O'Grady Drama

Founded in 1979, O'Grady Drama is a national drama teaching program with true-blue Australian heritage - an Australian curriculum so impactful to students it expanded internationally to Europe, Britain, USA, India, and Asia Pacific territories (under Helen O'Grady Drama and Drama Kids International).

As a Performing Arts Teacher/Drama Coach/Assistant Coach, you will:

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, supportive learning environment.
  • Guide and mentor students through a set curriculum, which includes voice and speech work, improvisation, acting skills, and performance practice.
  • Hold a valid Working with Children Check before commencing employment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues creatively, professionally, and contribute to our annual O'Grady Drama productions and end of year showcase.
  • Interact with parents of students for greater student well-being.
  • Attend occasional operational or production meetings.
  • Maintain high standards in class delivery, child safety, communication, and punctuality.
  • Participate in relief and holiday programs where needed.
