About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
Power BI Developer
to join our team in Perth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
Business Intelligence (BI)
,
data modeling
, and
visualization
, with proven experience collaborating across business and digital teams. This role will focus on delivering high-quality insights through
Power BI
and
Report Builder
, while ensuring compliance with
data governance and security standards
.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business users, internal stakeholders, and digital teams to understand data sources and identify key trends.
  • Deliver actionable insights leveraging enterprise BI platforms such as
    Power BI
    and
    Report Builder
    .
  • Gather and analyze business requirements to design and deliver BI solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Provide expert advice on BI best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.

Governance & Operations:

  • Adhere to data governance, security protocols, and BI development best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain managed BI reports and dashboards.
  • Create and enhance
    dimensional data models
    ,
    DAX calculations
    , and
    Power Query transformations
    for advanced data analysis.
  • Ensure
    data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
    in accordance with data governance principles.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across BI operations.

Domain Knowledge:

  • Prior experience working in the
    Energy
    or
    Oil & Gas industry
    is essential.
  • Exposure to
    Business Intelligence related to Cyber Security
    would be highly advantageous.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum
    5 years
    of hands-on experience in
    Power BI development
    and
    Report Builder
    .
  • Strong skills in
    data modeling
    ,
    DAX
    ,
    Power Query
    , and
    SQL
    .
  • Experience in designing interactive dashboards and data visualizations for enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical BI solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
