  • Receives, investigates and resolves complaints about State Government agencies and local governments;
  • Reviews child deaths and family and domestic violence fatalities;
  • Undertakes own motion investigations;
  • Undertakes the Reportable Conduct Scheme; and
  • Undertakes a range of additional functions, including statutory inspection and monitoring functions.
This Position
  • Manages a team of investigators to undertake child death reviews and family and domestic violence fatality reviews;
  • Facilitates data collation, analysis and research relating to child deaths and family and domestic violence fatalities; and
  • Provides strategic advice to the Principal Assistant Ombudsman Reviews and the Ombudsman.

  • A covering letter (no more than two pages) outlining your professional experience in undertaking complex administrative investigations of child deaths and family and domestic violence fatalities, and capacity to lead a team of investigators in this work; and
