Role Overview:

As Store Manager, you'll lead the daily operations of a high-performing travel store, driving sales, leading a passionate team, and delivering world-class customer experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances sales performance, team development, operational compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:Sales Leadership & Customer Experience

• Lead travel consultations and itinerary planning to meet customer needs.
• Drive store sales performance, manage KPIs, and support individual team targets.
• Provide accurate product and destination knowledge across Australia, NZ, Fiji, Bali, and other key regions.
• Identify opportunities to upsell, promote deals, and deliver exceptional service that drives repeat business.

Team Management & Development

• Supervise and coach a team of Travel Sales Consultants and Shift Leaders.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff training and development.
• Deliver regular coaching and performance feedback to improve team capability.
• Foster a positive team culture with a focus on engagement, collaboration, and morale.

Store Operations & Compliance

• Oversee store presentation, cash handling, stock control, and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Ensure WH&S standards, store security, and emergency protocols are always upheld.
• Conduct operational checks, monitor supplies, and escalate technical or HR issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, privacy, anti-discrimination laws, and health & safety regulations.

Business Strategy & Stakeholder Engagement

• Implement local sales strategies aligned with company-wide goals and promotions.
• Monitor sales trends and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with travel suppliers, tour operators, and tourism partners.
• Participate in monthly Store Manager meetings and contribute to broader strategic planning.

Qualifications & Experience:Essential:

• 1+ years in a senior sales or leadership role in travel or tourism.
• Proven ability to manage daily operations, hit sales targets, and lead a team.
• Strong travel knowledge and familiarity with travel booking and CRM systems.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

• 3+ years as a travel agency manager or Diploma in Travel & Tourism.
• Passion for adventure travel and knowledge of key destinations.
• Multilingual abilities and prior contract negotiation experience.
