Breakfast Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Cook to join our team at the wheels cafe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen understanding of breakfast preparation, and the ability to create delicious bagels and accompanying dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring our customers receive high-quality breakfast options that uphold our brand's standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Cook Breakfast Items: Prepare a variety of breakfast items ,sandwiches, spreads, and sides that complement our bagels.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the kitchen and cooking areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels for ingredients and supplies, notifying the kitchen manager of any needs or shortages.
• Customer Service: Occasionally assist in the front of the house, helping customers with orders and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to follow production schedules, coordinate food preparation, and maintain an efficient workflow.
• Quality Control: Regularly taste and check food for quality, adjusting recipes as necessary to maintain high standards.
• Adhere to Recipes: Follow standard recipes while also being open to creating new items that align with customer preferences and seasonal offerings.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role, preferably in a breakfast or bagel setting.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• certification is a plus but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.23 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
