We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Cafe Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating delicious and visually appealing dishes, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our customers. The Cafe Chef will be responsible for preparing meals, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and specialty items.
- Develop and update menu items to reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Ensure all dishes are presented in an appealing manner.
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage food costs.
- Collaborate with the Cafe Manager to create daily specials and promotions.
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback related to food quality and service.
- Stay current with culinary trends and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef or cook in a similar environment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent cooking skills and creativity in menu development.
- Ability to manage kitchen operations and lead a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
