A growing tech company on the Gold Coast is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team in a hybrid role that blends DevOps and Software Engineering. This is a unique opportunity to work on 24/7 availability global platform operating within a bespoke niche, providing global customers with bespoke end to end solutions. This is a permanent role and will offer a pathway to CTO. 2 days a week on-site Gold Coast.

About the Role

This position sits at the intersection of infrastructure and application development. You'll work closely with the CTO to maintain and scale infrastructure while contributing to the development and deployment of a Ruby on Rails platform, working hands on within a close-knit and talented team of engineers. With continued growth and an opportunity to move into a CTO role, this is a great opportunity to progress your career whilst maintaining technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

You'll maintain and monitor infrastructure across on-premise and AWS environments (DevOps), manage Docker containerization, ensure high availability/low latency of the platform. Whilst also collaborating and working hands-on with engineers to deploy and optimize a Ruby on Rails platform, implement CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot performance issues across infrastructure and application layers. Key stack includes Ruby, MySQL, Docker and Linux Operating System. You will also need to be an innovative, and adaptable individual who is happy spinning a few plates
