2IC to the Practice Manager

Dental Nurse/ Receptionist

2IC to the Manager (3/4 days)

We are looking for someone with at least 5-6 years of experience as dental nurse/receptionist or previous management experience, who is ready to step up

Skills and experience:

Your role:

  • Assist the Practice Manager with daily operations and team coordination
  • Supervise and support front desk and clinical teams
  • Oversee appointment scheduling, patient flow, and daily reporting
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and customer service
  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and rostering
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and clinical protocols
  • Handle patient enquiries, feedback, and administrative tasks
  • Step in for the Practice Manager when required

You have :

  • Previous experience as senior receptionist in a similar role (at least 4 years)

  • Proven dental assistant experience

  • Must have at least Certificate III

  • Sound computer literacy skill

  • Previous experience using D4W

Dental Nurse/Receptionist (Dual role) (3-4 days)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide chairside assistance to dentists and oral health therapists
  • Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
  • Ensure high standards of infection control and sterilisation
  • Welcome patients and manage front desk duties (appointments, payments, recalls, etc.)
  • Handle patient enquiries and provide a positive experience at every visit
  • Support daily operations to ensure the smooth running of the practice

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental practice (nursing and/or reception)
  • Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (preferred)
  • Confident, reliable, and professional
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Strong knowledge of dental software D4W
  • A team player with a caring and patient-focused attitude
