Position Description: Product and Processing Assistant

Role Overview: The Product and Processing Assistant is responsible for efficiently handling and preparing herb products within our warehouse facility. This role primary involves picking, packing, bottling, labelling, weighing and preparing herbal products across our three brands, Empirical Health, Ode Health and Herbal Creatures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Packaging Products: Utilising counting machine, scales, and grinders to accurately prepare and pack products into specified quantities and weights for distribution and order fulfillment.
  • Labelling: Precisely label bottles and tubes to ensure correct product identification and compliance with labelling standards.
  • Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack customer orders promptly and accurately, preparing them for shipment
  • Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damages and report any discrepancies.
  • Stock Management: Assist in breaking down pallets and restocking shelves to ensure product availability.
  • General Warehouse Duties: Maintain a clean and organised workspace, warehouse, bathrooms, including sweeping, dusting, and waste disposal.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as requested by management to support warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks with precision, ensuring product quality and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods and handling light to moderate lifting.
  • Team Player: Collaborative attitude with strong communication skills, good work ethic.
  • Compliance Awareness: Understanding of and commitment to adhering to workplace health and safety regulations.

Employment Type: Casual; Monday to Wednesday.

This position is based in Port Macquarie, NSW. There will be the opportunity for a permanent position in the near future for the right candidate.
