Join our respected company with several workshops' locations in eastern suburbs of Sydney - Scientific Broadway, Scientific Matraville& Scientific Rose Bay.  We are looking for licensed experienced AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC to join our dynamic & rewarding workshop. If you are looking for a change in environment and the opportunity to grow and challenge yourself at your own pace whilst work on latest model cars in a friendly team environment this is the workshop for you.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive body repair techniques, including:

  • Accurately assessing the extent of vehicle damage both visible and hidden that is bodywork, chassis, and mechanical components.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged suspension components
  • Addressing issues with steering systems
  • Fixing damage to other mechanical system affected by the impact
  • Identifying and sourcing replacement parts, which may include OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or aftermarket parts.
  • Understanding how cars work, how they are built and their different components
  • Using your expertise in fault finding and diagnosis in mechanical, electrical & air conditioning
  • Analysing vehicle performance & customer complaints to pinpoint issues
  • Repairing or replacing damaged parts, perform routine maintenance service and reassembling vehicles components after repairs.
  • Testing repaired vehicle to ensure proper functionality & safety
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections to assess roadworthiness
  • Documenting and maintaining detailed records of all work and job cards
  • Ensuring safe and organized working environment

Qualifications:

  • Must be highly motivated and has good communication skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible working hours and ability to work in a given timeline
