Sports Turf Tradesperson

HG Sports Turf is a market leader in the design, construction, and maintenance of stadium and elite sports fields. HG Sports Turf has supplied its patented turf systems to many stadiums since 1998, including Optus Stadium, AAMI Park, Adelaide Oval, CommBank Stadium, HBF Park, Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Accor Stadium, Eden Park and Sky Stadium.

HG Sports Turf are looking for an ethusiastic and motivated Sports Turf Tradesperson to be based at Alexandra. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the HG Sports Turf team preparing, maintaining and harvesting Elite Proprietary Turf sporting surfaces.

Although based at Alexandra the role will require travel to interstate turf farms and national stadiums. International travel may also be offered.

Responsibilities

• Undertake turf maintenance activities, including mowing, fertilising, spraying, aeration and rolling.
• Undertake turf renovation activities, including seeding, dethatching and coring.
• Test the turf and record the results. Calibrate test equipment.
• Record work health and safety activities in Donesafe, including inductions, site assessments, pre-starts, SWMS, MSDS, near-missus and incidents.
• Record quality activities in Donesafe, including specifications, ITP's and sign-offs.
• Assist with the project of works, including turf replacements and renovations at interstate farms and stadiums.

Qualifications

• Possess a turf management technical qualification(s) – Cert III Minimum.
• Qualification/certification in the safe handling and application of agrichemicals and fertilisers.
• Experience with turf management and production is essential with attention to detail.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Preparedness to work flexible hours as required and are physically fit and able to undertake manual work.
• Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
