About the Role

We're seeking a Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team and lead the development of a comprehensive suite of data visualization dashboards. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent young up and comer to gain hands-on experience with enterprise-level business intelligence solutions while working with cutting-edge cloud technologies.

Project Overview

You'll be instrumental in developing Power BI dashboards that will transform how we and our clients interact with data. The role involves creating both internal business operations dashboards and client-facing IT monitoring solutions, leveraging data from our Professional Services Automation (PSA) platform and Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) system hosted on Azure infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Dashboard Development

• Design and build Business Operations Dashboards for service delivery, sales pipeline, and project management
• Create IT Monitoring & Health Dashboards for internal client environment monitoring
• Develop client-facing dashboard versions for transparent health reporting
• Recreate and enhance existing reporting solutions with improved functionality

Data Integration & Architecture

• Work with data from Microsoft SQL Server (Azure VM) and PostgreSQL databases (Azure Data Factory) from our PSA and RMM systems
• Assist in migrating data from various sources into a unified data lake architecture
• Collaborate on building AI layer foundations for custom, bespoke Power BI reports
• Establish cost-effective methods for external dashboard sharing

Technical Implementation

• Develop efficient data models and DAX calculations
• Implement data refresh schedules and automated reporting processes
• Ensure dashboard performance optimization and user experience excellence
• Document technical solutions and create user guides

Essential Requirements
Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (including Power Query, DAX, and data modeling)
• Understanding of SQL databases and query optimization
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and ETL processes

Analytical Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with data visualization best practices
• Understanding of business intelligence principles

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
• Detail-oriented with strong project management abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Professional Services Automation (PSA) platforms
• Knowledge of Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) solutions
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Azure Data Factory
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts for data analytics
• Previous internship or project experience in business intelligence
• Microsoft certifications (Power BI, Azure, or related)
