About the role:

Airlinx Industries is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator/Metal fabricator to join our team in Noble Park North, VIC. It's a full time position with a variety of fabrication challenges.

What you'll be doing:

  • Performing high-quality welding and fabrication work on a variety of frames and cages.
  • Utilising a range of welding techniques, such as MIG/MAG, and Stick welding, to meet project requirements
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
  • Collaborating with the broader team to identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the fabrication process.
  • Contribute ideas and knowledge to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Use all hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained.

What we're looking for:

  • Trade qualification in welding, fabrication, or metal work.
  • Minimum 5+ years of welding/fabrication experience required.
  • Certificate III level trade qualification or equivalent required.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG/MAG, and stick welding
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, you will be responsible for your own task completion and deadlines
  • Reliable, physically fit, and a team player.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Sponsorship available for eligible candidates requiring work visa support.

Annual Salary is $70,000 - $75,000 plus super and position allowance. Overtime is available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
