Lead with purpose and inspire each day
We are seeking a Lead Educator/2IC to lead, inspire, support and manage our team of Educators, and assist with the day-to-day operations of the Childcare Centre.
Our Centre has space for 90 children, and features classrooms and ancillary facilities, along with a master chef kitchen and an inclusive outdoor environment that will stimulate all the senses.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Lead Educator / 2IC, who is ready to take the next step in their career and is looking to work in our privately owned and operated Centre.
This position is a new position where using your previous experience as a Lead Educator you will help to manage and support the team, along with assisting the Director with the overall operations of the Centre. For us, it's about finding a like-minded individual who is passionate about early childhood education and the developmental needs of children.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Assisting the Centre Director in managing day to day operations in accordance with legislative requirements and company policies.
- Providing leadership, mentorship and guidance to the staff.
- Inspire, motivate, guide and support Educators to progress the Serivces's excellence in practice.
- Support Educator's to assess each child's learning and development in relation to the approved learning framework and other contemporary theories.
- Assist and develop clear goals for Educators regarding the efficiency of the educational program.
- Ensure the Centre complies with best practices, including curriculum development, staff professional development, administrative procedures and cooperating with families and the community.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience: previous experience as a 2IC or Assistant Director in an early childhood setting.
- Qualifications: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR equivalent approved by ACECQA.
- Compliance: Current Working with Children Check (WWC) and First Aid certification.
- Knowledge: Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for Education: Genuine love for children and a commitment to making a positive impact.
- Documentation & Planning: Strong skills in documenting and planning for individual learning needs and general administration.
