Company Description
One purpose, one practice
We are public purpose specialists who support governments and their agencies to deliver services to Australians, helping government to build more resilient, equitable, secure, and prosperous communities. One purpose, one practice. We are guided by our values of Stronger Together, Amplify Impact, Build Trusted Relationships, Value Every Person, Think Beyond Limits, and Defined by Ethics.
Skills
Our purpose-driven professionals provide clients with access to the skills, capabilities and expertise to support the delivery of government agendas and public purpose projects, with specialist teams across three national practices:
- Transformation
- Risk, Programs and Cyber
- Commercial, Financial and Infrastructure
The Team
In times of change and disruption, our experienced
Transformation
consultants work closely with government clients to identify the best ways to adapt, implement effective solutions, and support their teams through the transition. We bring valuable insights and practical strategies to help navigate these challenges smoothly and successfully. By combining our diverse strategy and public policy experience with our functional workforce, transformation design and operations expertise, we offer an unparalleled depth of public sector capability.
Within our Transformation practice, our
Execution & Enablement
team helps clients design, accelerate and manage delivery of their most important programs of work. We bring strong technical skills and extensive portfolio, program and project management (P3M) experience. We combine this with strategy and design expertise to help our clients translate strategy and policy into actionable programs and portfolios of work, supported by effective delivery teams and ways of working.
The Role
Do you want to make a difference working with government clients and using your experience in portfolio, program or project management? As an experienced client-facing consultant at Scyne, you'll lead key workstreams focused on delivering agreed client outcomes. You will have a clear understanding of the objectives of the engagement and will drive the design and delivery activities needed to create high quality client deliverables and contribute to a positive client experience.
In this role you would focus on working with our Federal Government and Defence clients and will create value by:
- Contributing to the development of key client deliverables or streams of work
- Applying your knowledge in portfolio, program, or project management to our clients' most impactful initiatives
- Solving client problems by conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, including client interviews and workshops, document reviews and the presentation of our findings and recommendations.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, project teams, and within our business.
- Assisting in business development activities such as development of proposals, internal account team initiatives, and thought leadership development.
- Taking ownership of your professional growth (and that of your teams) through the sharing of experiences, development of technical skills and career management advice.
- Living the values that underpin Scyne Advisory
About You
Aligned to our values, you're collaborative in nature and love working in and celebrating as a team. You respect and care for your colleagues and are curious about others' views and reflect on the impact we have on others.
You have a growth mindset. You're interested in asking questions to challenge our thinking and love new ideas and trying new things. You're curious about and able to put yourself in clients' shoes; you earn and value the trust placed in us.
You're someone who does what you say you'll do, and you do the right thing when no-one is looking. You call it when you feel something isn't quite right.
What You Will Bring To The Position
- Relevant technical experience, such as project and program management, PMO, or change management (experience in other roles will also be considered)
- Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, AgilePM, Professional Scrum Master or SAFe are highly desirable
- Proven experience working with Federal Government, Defence or other public sector organisations
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive mindset and proven ability to quickly pick up new concepts.
- Proven ability to manage streams of work or small teams to develop key deliverables
If you are passionate about setting up and shaping new projects or programs of work and making sure they're implemented effectively, we'd love to hear from you and invite you to join our dynamic team at Scyne.
Please note:
To support our clients, this role will require a minimum Baseline or NV1 security clearance. Candidates with an existing NV1 or higher (for Defence) or Baseline security clearance are strongly preferred.
