Genzo

Genzo offers contemporary Japanese dining with an edge. Sleek, moody interiors are lit with pops of neon, setting the stage for a menu featuring kushiyaki skewers, raw dishes, noodles, and perfectly balanced cocktails. A compelling sake and Japanese wine program will position Genzo at the forefront of modern Japanese dining in Sydney.

Soluna

Open from lunch through dinner, Soluna is North Sydney's social hub - a spacious, high-volume venue perfect for family get-togethers, relaxed meals, and lively bar nights. The menu celebrates Mediterranean dining, with a focus on homemade pasta, woodfired pizzas, fresh seafood, and seasonal share plates. With a large dining space inside and out, and a vibrant lounge and bar area, Soluna is destined to become a new fixture in North Sydney dining.

The Role

As Venues Manager, you will take full carriage of the guest and team experience across Genzo and Soluna, ensuring both venues consistently deliver excellence. You will:

  • Lead and inspire small, diverse teams across both venues, mentoring managers and staff.
  • Craft memorable guest experiences that keep locals and visitors returning.
  • Drive operational and financial performance including rostering, cost control, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and the Reservations & Events team to deliver a la carte, bar, and event experiences.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of Front of House teams.
  • Maintain compliance across all Health, Safety, Environment, and Liquor Licensing requirements.
  • Play an active role in shaping and growing the precinct as a whole, alongside other Etymon venue leaders.

About You

  • Proven success as a Venue or Restaurant Manager, or senior FOH leader in a high-volume restaurant/bar environment.
  • A strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L, labour costs, and inventory.
  • A passion for hospitality – you bring fun, energy, and professionalism to your team.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across two large venues.
  • An interest in modern dining culture, with an eye for guest trends and local engagement.
  • This role is well-suited to an experienced hospitality professional who values balance – our venues offer all the challenge and responsibility of leading high-quality operations, without the relentless pace of the city's busiest restaurants.
