Position Overview:

Helping Hands Care Agency is seeking a reliable and dedicated support worker to provide essential care for clients under the NDIS and Aged Care programs. This role begins with 10 hours per week with additional hours offered once the client rapport is built. The position involves caring for our aged care clients both with personal care and higher care needs. The role also offers opportunities to support additional participants as our client base grows. We are looking for someone compassionate, patient, and responsible, with the ability to work independently and ensure a safe environment. Experience with high-needs care is preferred. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitising.

  • Take clients to appointments

  • Take clients shopping/shop for clients

  • Community access

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Foster positive relationships with participants, their families, and other stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided.

  • Adhere to NDIS and Aged Care Practice Standards and the Code of Conduct.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC is not required but desirable).

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.

  • Prior experience in NDIS or aged care setting is advantageous.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.

  • A valid driver's license and reliable transport.

  • Police Check

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $32.50 – $69.22 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week with additional hours available after probation
