Australian Bulk Stevedoring, a wholly owned CBH subsidiary, provides stevedoring services to exporters from our grain ports.

The Role

Join Our Team at Australian Bulk Stevedoring (ABS) We're looking for enthusiastic, safety-focused individuals to join our Albany Port operations as Casual Stevedores. In this hands-on role, you'll be an essential part of our team, supporting the smooth and efficient flow of port activities through a variety of general stevedoring tasks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Operation of ITV's, small fork-lifts, bobcats and other small mechanical equipment
  • Shipboard and wharf duties, lashing and unlashing, packing and unpacking of containers, and other general duties
  • Basic servicing of equipment incidental to the performance of functions
  • General security duties incidental to the performance of functions
  • Clerical tasks including tally clerking

About you:

  • Holds or willing to obtain MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
  • High Risk Forklift licence, working at heights (highly advantageous)
  • Additional licences such as EWP, Excavator, bobcat, crane (desirable)
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
  • Be deemed physically fit in accordance with the CBH operational worker pre-employment medical.
  • Lives local to the Albany area
