We are seeking an experienced
Construction Manager
to support a BESS project.

About the Role

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the construction team.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.
  • Set clear expectations and objectives for the construction team.
  • Identify and engage suitable suppliers and sub-contractors for various construction activities.
  • Monitor and coordinate the work of suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Efficiently manage supplier payments and invoicing processes.
  • Collaborate with the project development team to provide construction insights and expertise during the planning and design stages.
  • Review construction-related documents, such as drawings and specifications, and provide feedback as needed.
  • Identify potential construction challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  • Participate in the Request for Tender (RFT) process, including evaluating bids and selecting the construction contractor.
  • Negotiate and finalize contractual terms and conditions with the selected contractor.
  • Develop and manage the construction budget, ensuring cost effectiveness and adherence to project requirements.
  • Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities, including the installation of OEM(BESS) systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to guide and oversee on-site activities.
  • Develop and implement construction strategies, methodologies, and quality control processes.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control assessments to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Manage project resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of construction activities, progress reports, and budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the client, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and timely resolution of any issues or disputes.
  • Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Monitor and manage team workload and allocation of resources.
  • Identify and implement innovative construction techniques and technologies to enhance project efficiency and delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential project risks.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Electricial/Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
  • Valid electrical licence required.
  • Relevant certifications in construction project management, safety management, or related areas.
  • Extensive experience in construction management, specifically in large-scale projects in the energy sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects, preferably in battery energy storage systems or renewable energy.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
