THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has become available for an in-store Trade Sales Representative based full-time in our Malaga Home Improvement Store. Ideally, we are looking for a motivated and career orientated professional to build and maintain key relationships with our valued Trade customers. This position involves working as part of our collaborative Retail store team - reporting to the Store Manager.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working on a rotating roster which will include some Saturday work which offers weekend loading rates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with all assigned customers
  • Identifying and developing new customers and confident in cold calling
  • Growing sales
  • Identifying new product and market opportunities
  • Liaising with the operations team to improve product design and customer service
  • Preparing project quotations and sales proposals
  • Adherence to Stratco safety and other policies and procedures
  • Strict adherence to our critical safety rules and contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU

  • A proven sales track record, preferably in the building or hardware industry
  • Be action oriented and able to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Be a hands on, practical person with a good technical ability
  • Estimating experience would be highly valued but not essential
  • Be honest, self motivated and have a passionate desire to be successful
  • Have the ability to work in a team environment
  • Have excellent business building and prospecting skills
  • Computer literacy
  • The ability to manage multiple customers and priorities
  • A team player that has a passion for retail sales
  • Whilst experience is great, it'll be your passion, reliable attitude and personality that set you apart
