Building Surveyor / Building Inspector - Regional Victoria

Full Time Band 6 – Fixed term 12-month maternity leave position.

Based in Alexandra with hybrid arrangements available.

We're offering a maternity leave position at Band 6 making this a perfect fit for a recently qualified Building Surveyor or Building Inspector eager to build hands-on technical skills and gain invaluable experience.

What you will bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying (or related discipline) with eligibility for, or progression toward, registration as a Building Surveyor or Building Inspector.
• Foundational knowledge of building surveying, compliance, and enforcement, with an understanding of the Building Act, Regulations, Codes, and Standards.
• Emerging technical skills, with the enthusiasm to learn on the job and apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.
• A developing ability to provide clear and accurate advice on legislation, techniques, and processes, supported by sound professional judgement. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage, negotiate, and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
