The Warnbro Community Library is a public library, servicing the community by providing information services, education and events.

The role of the Assistant Librarian at Warnbro Community Library is to assist in the management of the library's operations including assessing and developing various collections, working collaboratively to develop an events program and actively contributing to the marketing and promotion of the library service.

You have experience in a customer focussed environment and are able to communicate effectively with members of the public and staff. You have demonstrated skills in problem solving, time management and are able to demonstrate these skills along with your ability to use initiative. You have a passion for providing excellent customer service and for promoting library services and resources to residents.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your application:

• Relevant degree appropriate for eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.

• High level of written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.

• Team leadership and ability to motivate staff.

• Experience in planning and implementing community programs and events.

• Experience in marketing the library services to the community.

We are offering a gross salary of $83,781 per annum (pro-rata) and:

• 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
