About The Role
Canterbury Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community, focused on patient and family-centred care.

The Environmental Services Department provides a 24-hour cleaning and portering (transport) service throughout Canterbury Hospital, ensuring a safe, clean, and smoothly operating environment for patients, staff, and visitors around the clock.

Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to work on a 24 hour, 7 day rotating roster, with regular night shifts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the various healthcare waste streams and infection control principles.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare facility or in commercial/industrial cleaning role.
