Position Title: Partner Manager
Company: Electronic Equipment Manufacture
**Permanent residency or Australian citizenship is required.**
Position Purpose
The role of Partner Manager is responsible for expanding the sales in allocated territory by servicing, recruiting and collaborating with existing and new channel partners, ensuring the customer needs are met in line with the client company's targets and business standards.
Expected Outcomes (Key Performance Indicators)
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of radio platforms, including P25/DMR/NXDN/LTE and other platforms as required
- Promote Product to Government Agencies and Other radio communication channel partners
- Regular meeting with channel partners and their end users as required
- Achieving sales targets
- Completing reports and tender submissions
Key Responsibilities
- Sales representative for the territory of mainly VIC territories and other regions if required.
- If required, undertake tenders (when they are published) – including documented responses.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the National Sales & Marketing Manager (Communications), the Sales Operations Manager, and the channel partners' network
- Informing, liaising and updating channel partners on new and existing products in line with channel partner sales activities
- Provide some technical assistance to channel partners when required
- Mediate any product and account issues in conjunction with technical dept. and NSMM
- Seek new business development opportunities for govt. bodies, consultants, end client and channel partner network.
- Provide regular updates on existing projects, market activities, sales forecast and competitor's activities to the NSMM
- Attend and represent the client company at events and trade shows & presentations.
- Identify, organize, train and assist channel partner sales staff on the client company's products
- Liaising with the product planner and NSMM in regard to sales – forecasting and reporting product requirements.
- Travelling to all areas within the territories as required
- Fulfil other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- The client company may require you, to perform duties not covered by your job description from time to time having regard to business and operational requirements.
Qualification, Certificate, Knowledge & Skills
- An understanding of two-way radio communication technology including DMR, P25, NXDN preferred
- Experience in sales and customer service is essential
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with suppliers and customers
- Demonstrated record of closing skills
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Territory management
- Solid negotiation skills
- Understanding of sales processes and dynamics
- Ability to identify and create highly complex business tender responses.
- Excellent written and communication skills
