Emergency Vet Nurse | Permanent Part-time or Full-time roles

With the expansion of our Critical Care unit, we are looking for vet nurses who thrive in a busy, diverse environment and are eager to expand their clinical skills.

Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) Brisbane is a state-of-the-art facility committed to providing exceptional emergency and critical care services to pets in need, our ECC nurses excel in a supportive, team-oriented environment – many often transitioning from general practice, ready to embrace the exciting move into emergency veterinary care

Join a supportive, established team with on-the-job training, ongoing professional development and the benefit of penalty rates for most shifts, as our ECC team works around the clock across a 24/7 rotating roster – another great perk for a GP vet nurse looking at making the move

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with a minimum 3 years of nursing experience in a busy general practice or experience in a referral (specialist hospital) or emergency setting
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 rotating roster
  • A friendly, easy-going nature, capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • A strong work ethic, efficiency, and multitasking abilities
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality patient care under busy conditions
  • Proficiency in anaesthetic monitoring and nursing critical and ventilated patients advantageous
  • Familiarity with RX Works, Smartflow, and Idexx blood machines advantageous
