Join Saint Ignatius' College as a permanent part-time Procurement and Accounts Payable Officer. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the Accounts Payable function
  • Assist Finance Manager with school audit matters.
  • Apply inventory and purchasing control procedures.
  • Budget reporting to relevant Managers.
  • Undertake procurement activities
  • Administer the provision of expenditure and budget reports with monthly processing timelines
  • Dealing in a highly professional manner with staff, suppliers and members of the profession and community.

Essential requirements:

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Current experience working in an accounts payable function
  • Collaborative approach with staff members
  • Post-secondary studies in accounting or similar discipline, or commensurate experience in relation to this role
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Confidentiality and discretion
  • Participate and complete the Ignatian Induction Program in the first year of employment.
  • Patience and flexibility when dealing with a range of situations and people, including the ability to respond to staff and supplier needs.
  • High levels of confidentiality.

Desirable Characteristics

  • Experience working in a similar role in a school
