About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at Blue Shield Family General Practice in Kogarah, NSW. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centred care in a part-time capacity. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting our general practitioners and ensuring the smooth running of our medical practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with patient consultations and providing nursing care, including wound management, immunisations, and health screenings
  • Coordinating and managing the practice's clinical operations, such as maintaining patient records, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with medical regulations
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that address the holistic needs of our patients
  • Undertaking health promotion activities and educating patients on managing their conditions
  • Providing administrative support, such as scheduling appointments and handling phone enquiries

What we're looking for

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a general practice or community healthcare setting
  • Strong clinical skills, including knowledge of wound care, immunisations, and chronic disease management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively as part of a team
  • Proficient in using medical software and technology to maintain accurate patient records
  • Experience with Best Practice or similar practice management software preferred
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care and a passion for contributing to the overall wellbeing of the community
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Current CPR certification (HLTAID009 or equivalent)
  • Eligible to work in Australia (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work visa)
