The Acute Inpatient Unit has an observation ward and a general acute ward to provide supervised care in hospital when community treatment is not possible.

The Enrolled Nurse delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of the St George Mental Service consistent with SESLHD and St George Mental Health Service policies, procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria:

• Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Holds a Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification in medicines administration.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians, immediate team members and other stakeholders.
• Supports working in a person centred environment.
• Current professional practice knowledge base.
• Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
• Demonstrated understanding of recovery principles and commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer, family and carer participation and consumer focused care.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver high quality patient care in Mental Health setting.
