ABOUT THE ROLE 

We have an exciting opportunity for a TFPC Training Officer to join our Learning and Development team.

In this role you will provide clear and engaging delivery of agreed content and manage the assessment process in accordance with the business objectives, assessment requirements, statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations. (For both MTM employees and external third-party contractors)
 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deliver and assess accredited and non-accredited training to internal and external stakeholders in line with business objectives, contractual obligations as well as the Australian Qualifications Framework and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards.
  • Provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for the learner.
  • Maintain existing and develop new courseware, ensuring it is in line with business policy, procedures as well as Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards.
  • Manage the relationship with the learner (internal MTM business and third-party contractors) to ensure accurate and clear responsibilities are established.
  • Participate and undertake regular review and ongoing compliance of courseware to RTO standards.
  • Maintain industry currency within relative Safe working competencies.
  • Be proactive in seeking out better ways to deliver training content (continuous improvement initiatives)
  • Flexibility to deliver and assess afterhours and on weekends when requested.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience working within the rail corridor, performing Safe working duties such TFPC 3.1 as a minimum.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 preferred.
  • Competencies required to complete the duties of a Track Force Protection Coordinator (TFPC 3.2 & TFPC 3.3 where relevant for the level).
  • Competencies required to complete the duties of a Track Vehicle Operator (TVO 1) preferred
  • Experience delivering and assessing Accredited / Non-Accredited Training.
