Requirements:

  • You must have valid and unrestricted registration as a Nurse Practitioner (Authorised Prescriber) in Australia.
  • AHPRA registration and ability to prescribe Schedule 8 medication and provide medicare rebates.
  • Compassion & Patience is what we provide our patients at Trueleaf Clinics.
  • Advocation and enthusiasm for medicinal cannabis use. We are looking for practitioners that truely believe in and are excited by the benefits of alternative medicine.
  • Experience in prescribing medicinal cannabis is highly preferred.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Conduct face-to-face consultations with new and existing patients at the clinic.
  • Apply for patient Special Access Scheme (SAS) Approvals
  • Review patient histories and perform clinical assessments to determine suitability for medicinal cannabis treatment.
  • Collaborate with patients to develop individualised care plans and establish treatment goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in accordance with clinical standards.
  • Provide clear explanations regarding the practical aspects of medicinal cannabis treatment and address patient inquiries.
  • Communicate with the Clinic Manager to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of prescribed medications and explain how they interact with the endocannabinoid system.
