Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Automation Tester based in Sydney, NSW. The Automation Tester will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including designing test plans, creating and executing test cases, performing manual and automated testing, and ensuring the quality of APIs through thorough testing.

Location: Sydney

Experience: 8 yrs and above

Mandatory Skill: Experience with Automation on Core Banking systems, API testing – Postman, SOAPUI, Rest ,functional and non-functional testing, GitHub, Jira

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications-

· to 8 years of relevant automation experience

·       Extensive hands-on experience with automation on Core Banking systems, specifically Ultradata

·       Proficient in both functional and non-functional, regression testing methodologies

·       Conduct comprehensive analysis of user stories to identify end-to-end integration test scenarios

·       Skilled in developing test strategies, creating test scripts, and executing test scripts

·       Experience with test automation, including integrating testing tools into the framework

·       Experience in Azure DevOps is good to have

·       Experience in API testing – Postman, SOAPUI, Rest assured or karate

·       Responsible for environment setup and data management

·       Capable of performing mobile automation testing using tools like Browserstack or Kobiton

·       Experience in performance testing – good to have

·       Oversee test governance, progress tracking, and reporting activities

·       Add value by analyzing current testing practices and standardizing enterprise testing processes

·       Experienced in integrating automation suites within DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines

·       Good working knowledge of GitHub for version control

·       Coordinate effectively with client teams, vendors, and offshore teams

·       Ensure timely execution of all contractual tasks and deliverables

·       Proactively identify and communicate project risks

·       Interface regularly with Project Managers and Development Leads on project issues, escalating to relevant experts or management as needed

·       Prepare and deliver detailed status reports to clients, including schedule updates, Test Summary Reports, issues, risks, dependencies, and other relevant delivery information

·       Manage defect tracking and provide functional support to team members

·       Knowledgeable in Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation

·       Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly to non-technical stakeholders
