Based in Bar Beach, Newcastle, HBIS delivers outpatient, outreach, and community residential rehabilitation services across the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter, Port Stephens, Greater Taree, and Central Coast regions. The service also operates a 5-bed Transition Living Unit (TLU) that supports clients from regional and rural areas such as Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, and Forbes, particularly where family or carers live within our catchment.

Our purpose-built facility features counselling and interview rooms, spacious outdoor areas, gardens, a courtyard, and a yarning circle, providing a comfortable, culturally safe, and recovery-focused environment.

You'll join a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping people rebuild their lives following traumatic brain injury. Our clinicians include Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers, Neuropsychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Dietitians, Rehabilitation Assistants, Administration and Housekeeping staff, as well as a Visiting Rehabilitation Medical Specialist and Neuropsychiatrist.
