Payroll Officer

Score Australasia is seeking applicants for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our finance team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, contracts of employment, enterprise agreements, and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess a process improvement mindset, enabling them to enhance payroll operations effectively

Our offices are in Wangara, and onsite parking is available.

The expected hours of work are eight (8) hours per day. However, we are supportive and open to discuss our operational needs and your personal circumstances to find the perfect balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll on a weekly basis based on approved timesheets, contracts, enterprise agreements and award terms.
• Interpret and apply relevant contracts, enterprise agreement and award terms.
• Ensure compliance with Australian taxation, superannuation and employment laws.
• Maintain and update payroll records and generate all payroll-related reporting.
• Prepare and lodge superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax obligations.
• Generate and distribute payslips.
• Respond to employee payroll queries on a timely manner
• Manage end-of-financial-year payroll processes, including payment summaries and STP reporting.
• Prepare monthly reports and metrics.
• Calculate and maintain long services leave balances
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer with a strong background in payroll processing and administration for both salaried and hourly employees. Ideal candidate will have expertise in interpreting both contractual and Company Enterprise Agreements, along with a proven ability to autonomously manage payroll processing turnaround times effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience with payroll systems such as MicrOpay, MYOB, SAP, or similar systems.
• Experience with MYOB is highly regarded
• Experience in interpreting awards and Enterprise Agreement.
• Experience with Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting  and processing
• Experienced with all relevant federal and state legislation, including Fair Work, ATO, and Superannuation Guarantee obligations.
• Strong MS Office suite capabilities.
