About the role:

Our Corridor Maintenance South East team currently have a permanent vacancy for a Facilities Maintainer. Whilst your home station base is Beenleigh, you will start and finish work from either Beenleigh or Cannon Hill Depot and work as part of a team to conduct corridor vegetation control and grounds maintenance and various station precincts, rail corridor and other QR owned sites throughout the network.

Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Be present for daily briefings including important safety information

  • Use of a work tablets to review and complete work orders

  • Complete mowing, hedging, whipper snipping and various other vegetation control management

  • Perform fencing repairs, pressure cleaning, graffiti cleaning and waste removal when required

  • Travel between sites across South Brisbane

About you:

  • Previous experience of conducting vegetation control including the use of whipper-snippers, mowers and chainsaws/polesaw, hedge trimmers and other grounds maintenance equipment

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

  • MR licence highly regarded
