Accru Melbourne, based in Hawthorn East, is looking to employ a full time qualified and experienced Accountant - Audit to join its team.

Annual salary: $76,800 pa plus superannuation

To be considered for this role, you must have:

· Australian qualified degree in accounting

· 3 years+ full time experience with a medium to large accounting firm

· Strong understanding of audit procedures, policies & compliance standards will be a definite advantage

· Completion of Professional Year Program in Accounting will be highly regarded Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client focused approach.

· Knowledge of financial risk assessment and reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Completing audit client work/assigned tasks by Seniors and Managers.

· Assisting in planning and execution of Audit Strategy and completion of Audit engagements as directed by Client Managers.

· Assisting to plan and prepare audit approach through consultation with the client and Client Manager.

· Discussing audit issues with manager/director and liaise with the client on these issues.

· Recognizing, managing, and disclosing financial risks.

· Conducting data collection, analysis, and interpretation concerning an organization's financial position, cost structures, and trading performance.

· Performing audits and investigations while preparing financial statements and reports for management, shareholders, and regulatory authorities.

· Assessing the cost-effectiveness and risk implications of operational processes, activities, policies, and systems.

· Providing management with reports on the presence and effectiveness of the internal control system.

· Setting clear goals for the audit and devising effective methods, processes, and criteria to conduct the audit and produce comprehensive audit reports and Audit work papers.
