There is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced REAP Accredited Planner with 15+ years' experience to join our APAC Planning team in Sydney or Newcastle
. Our team is made up of a group of skilled and motivated Planners with an enthusiastic approach to life and work. We currently service a strong pipeline of projects within the energy, construction material and infrastructure sectors.
This role will require a planning expert, with a penchant for business development as well as technical excellence. We are looking for a leader to help nurture existing relationships, foster new ones and develop staff to ensure our potential is reached. We work in a flexible office environment and pride ourselves on our relaxed and positive culture, regular social events and positive client feedback.
We also collaborate closely with our 23 in-house technical discipline teams to deliver a comprehensive service to clients across various sectors. In this role you will enjoy collaborative working with industry leading professionals across the APAC SLR community.
Responsibilities
Working in conjunction with leaders across NSW and our 24 APAC Offices this role will see you:
- Oversee the delivery of planning and environmental approvals (through inception to delivery) for both Local and State Significant developments.
- Develop a deep understanding of the existing strengths of the Planning Team and broader SLR Technical Teams, to ensure the right opportunities can be won.
- Enjoy a market facing role with a significant focus on existing relationships within the renewable, construction materials and infrastructure sectors.
- Deliver planning analysis via a commercially astute lens to confidently deliver exceptional results.
- Lead and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
- Work closely with the Management Team to drive team and company growth.
- Conduct thorough technical reviews and mentoring/development of junior staff.
- Travelling within NSW to undertake client meetings, site visits and regulator meetings.
Experience
Not only will you bring a great attitude and enthusiastic approach to your work, you will also have:
- NSW REAP Accreditation, with experience in delivering NSW State Significant Development Applications
- 15+ years' hands on experience with tertiary qualifications in town planning or equivalent.
- Have previously undertaken a senior / leadership role within a consulting environment
- Highly proficient in business, client and project development.
- Be driven to pass on your knowledge by mentoring junior staff.
- A thorough understanding of project budgets and deliverables while maintaining excellent client service that we are known for
