Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director for our Ports & Marines to join our team in Sydney, Australia. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in marine infrastructure projects across the region.
How you'll make a difference:
- Lead and deliver large-scale, technically complex structural engineering projects for ports and marine infrastructure, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.
- Provide strategic technical direction and leadership across project lifecycles, mentoring engineers at all levels to support capability development and succession planning.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with local and international maritime codes and standards, while proactively managing risk and safety considerations.
- Build and sustain strong client and stakeholder relationships, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-impact engineering solutions.
- Champion innovation in structural design, drive continuous improvement in quality assurance processes, and represent the company as a thought leader through industry publications, conference presentations, and professional forums.

Qualifications
The qualities that help you thrive:
- Extensive experience in structural engineering, with recent experience in ports and marine projects
- Recognised qualification (Associate Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering Technology or Similar).
- Proven project management and design experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- Track record of technical expertise delivering Ports and Marine projects.
- Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices, particularly in marine environments.
