What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking an innovative and flexible Grade 2 Dietitian who has a passion for learning and evidence-based care to work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. The position will be based at Frankston Hospital and cover at other Peninsula Health sites may be required. The primary caseload for this position involves the nutrition management of patients admitted under the surgical specialities umbrella.

The Dietitian will work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, management plans and discharge planning strategies with the emphasis on achieving optimal outcomes for clients, as relevant to the specific client goals. This role works closely and collaboratively with Senior Dietitians to develop and evaluate nutrition services through teamwork, communication, and education. Student training and supervision are key components of this role. Opportunities to engage in relevant quality improvement work and professional development will be available. This is a dynamic, challenging and rewarding position, suited to a Dietitian with a commitment to best practice in integrated and multi-disciplinary care.

What You Need:

• Member, or eligible for membership of Dietitians Australia

• Recent clinical experience in an inpatient setting, with at least 3 years post-graduate experience, including consolidated experience managing patients with complex nutrition support needs (including enteral and parenteral nutrition)

• Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor Grade 1 dietitians and/or students

• Current Victorian Drivers Licence

• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Conducts evidence-based practice and is committed to professional development

• Ability to be an effective team member
