QIC's State Investments team is looking for an energetic Graduate who thrives on solving problems, working with data and has a passion for exploring the dynamics of financial markets
This is a permanent full-time role open to students graduating in 2025 or those who have graduated within the last 12 months.
As the long-term investment manager for the State of Queensland, our focus is on delivering value for government clients and creating a positive impact for future generations.
As a Graduate Analyst in the State Investments team, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of investment activities across portfolio management and research. You'll work closely with senior team members to support the design, implementation, and monitoring of multi-asset class portfolios that deliver value for our government clients.
About the Role
As a Graduate, you'll support senior team members across a wide range of portfolio management activities, including:
- Assisting with strategic asset allocation, portfolio rebalancing, and cash flow management
- Developing and maintaining risk models, stress tests, and attribution models
- Analysing portfolio performance and preparing reports and insights for senior stakeholders
- Conducting research into markets, investment strategies, ESG trends, and global economic developments
- Collaborating with QIC's investment, ESG, and risk teams to deliver strong client outcomes
- Prepare insights, presentations, and reports for internal teams and clients
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to portfolio management and investment research while learning from an experienced, collaborative team.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has (or is about to complete) a degree in economics, finance, mathematics, business, or a related field
- Has strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a genuine interest in markets and data
- Communicates clearly and works well in a team
- Has excellent attention to detail and the ability to solve problems independently
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
