Job Description:
At MKTG, we believe that sport and entertainment have the power to positively impact human behaviour. Taking a purpose-led approach, we help clients harness the power of sports, entertainment, culture, and community to impact human behaviour through meaningful marketing solutions and experiences. The experiences we create engage customers, build memorable brands, and deliver value. We work with major sports and events rights holders, brand sponsors, teams, leagues, venues, and talent to create unique sponsorship marketing platforms, content, experiences, and brand activations that engage fans and drive business and brand outcomes.
We're looking for a seasoned Senior Event Manager to join our team on a 6-month basis (ideally in Melbourne but open to applications from Sydney). You'll lead the end-to-end delivery of world-class brand experiences from strategic concepting to flawless execution, across sport, entertainment, and lifestyle. You'll inspire client confidence, bring bold ideas to life in live environments, and drive innovation through collaboration, planning and a passion for creating unforgettable moments.
As this is an event-based role, travel and working outside of standard hours is expected on occasion.
Core responsibilities:
Drive the strategic and creative development of bold, insight-led brand activations and live experiences by collaborating across teams, leading ideation, and staying ahead of industry trends in sport, entertainment, and lifestyle.
Oversee end-to-end event delivery by managing creative, production, and operational elements, ensuring projects are executed seamlessly, on time, and within budget through detailed planning and strong cross-functional collaboration.
Serve as the day-to-day client lead by fostering trusted relationships, confidently presenting work, managing stakeholders, and collaborating across teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with client goals.
Coordinate end-to-end production delivery by developing detailed plans, managing resources and suppliers, and ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and expectations through proactive issue resolution and team oversight.
Support continuous improvement and innovation in event delivery by contributing to process enhancements, conducting research and benchmarking, and championing best practices informed by market trends.
A bit about you:
Proven experience in event management, experiential marketing, or brand activation (agency or rights-holder environment preferred).
A background of successfully managing multiple large-scale projects (including budgets, schedules and supplier contracts).
Excellent communication skills, someone who is client focused and passionate about delivering high quality solutions that exceed expectations.
Attention to detail, solutions focused.
Become a champion for meaningful progress:
Our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their whole selves to work and be proud of doing so. For us, this is the foundation for great innovation which, in turn, generates better outcomes for our people, partners and communities. This is why we encourage applications from people with disabilities, and of all ages, nationalities, backgrounds and cultures.
Together we make our mark. Together we embrace the true potential of disruption. And together – across all our locations – we help our clients win in a changing world.
If you want to belong to a one global network where opportunities are limitless – we look forward to welcoming you.
