CETEC is seeking a motivated Environmental Field Consultant, to help drive our continued growth and delivery excellence.

We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Field Consultant to join our Melbourne Team to aid with project management and on-site deliverables.

About this Role

This opportunity exists for a graduate or postgraduate scientist, hygienist majoring in environmental science or engineering, occupational hygiene, chemistry or related field. The role will require liaising with clients and stakeholders, field work, sampling and testing, report writing and preparation of quotes.

As a Field Consultant, you will help deliver a wide variety of projects which will draw on your skill to assess chemical and occupational risks and require liaising with clients, sampling and testing, report writing and preparation of quotes. Applicants with an understanding of environmental quality and management, hazardous materials (asbestos audits) and occupational hygiene would be highly regarded.

Specialized training on the topics of environmental health assessment techniques and the built environment will be provided.

The position may require both interstate and international travel across Australia, Asia and Europe.

The candidate we are looking for may have a number of the following attributes:

· Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Degree in science/engineering is preferred.

· Highly motivated, adaptable and positive work ethic.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Strong academic record.

· Ability to apply scientific knowledge and principles to real-world problems.

· The ability to work independently and within a team.

· Applicants with an understanding of environmental quality and management, hazardous materials (asbestos audits), occupational hygiene and/or dangerous goods would be highly regarded.

· Applicants who hold membership or have basic knowledge of the AIOH, NABERS, GreenStar, WELL and/or LAA will be highly regarded.

· Excellent report writing skills and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

· Ability to work under minimal supervision and strong time management skills.

· Communicates clearly and concisely, in a manner appropriate to the intended audience.

· Results-orientated, with a high drive to meet their objectives and standards of excellence.

· Proven problem-solving abilities and critical and creative thinking.

· Valid Australian driver's license required, and access to own vehicle preferred.

· Valid Work Permit to work in Australia.

· Full COVID 19 Vaccination Required.

· Indoor air and environmental quality (IEQ/IAQ) investigations, audits, training and assessments for occupant health, wellbeing and productivity.

· Building Air Tightness Testing for GreenStar credits and energy performance

· WELL Building Standard testing and performance verification

· NABERS audits for Indoor Environment, Energy, Water and Waste

· Specialist design support and risk evaluation for new and complex facilities, including laboratories and hospitals.

· Microbiology testing and consulting services, including Legionella risk management and water quality in healthcare and other high-risk facilities

· Laboratory measurement of emissions from building materials and other materials testing.
