We're looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join a close-knit infrastructure team of six, stepping in to provide coverage while a key team member takes long service leave.

This is a 7–8 month contract, including a handover period, and will see you supporting and maintaining a hybrid environment spanning Server, Storage, Network and Security, while also taking ownership of two key projects.

What you'll be working across:

  • Server and Storage environment (around 60 servers) including Dell, VMware, SQL, Azure, SharePoint and SAN
  • Networks and Wireless (transitioning to Aruba)
  • MS Defender, Palo Alto, and all related security updates and patching
  • Vendor coordination and oversight of project delivery
  • High documentation standards – accustomed to maintaining clear, detailed and accurate records
  • Customer service focus – ensuring timely, professional and solution-oriented support across the business
  • Supporting team members as required to deliver stable, secure and well-managed infrastructure

Projects on the horizon:

  • Wireless network upgrade – migration to Aruba
  • Server and storage upgrades

You'll be supported by the Operations Manager and surrounded by a capable, collaborative team that values open communication, knowledge sharing and teamwork. Some after-hours work may be required (with penalty rates).
