Southern Cross Care has an exciting opportunity for Personal Carers to join our care team at St Anne's Residential Aged Care Home in Broken Hill.

- To promote flexibility, variety and to allow you the opportunity to gain experience across multiple roles in the organisation, there may be an opportunity for you to work in other Aged Care Worker roles. Any additional role/s will be subject to appropriate training, and any request will be considered based on relative business needs. Additional roles may include Lifestyle, Catering or Domestic Assistant
About the role
Join our team as a Personal Carer and embrace our holistic approach to care, building cherished relationships with our residents based on dignity and respect.
Under the leadership of the Enrolled & Registered Nurses, you will demonstrate sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting and other support services depending on the individual resident's needs.
You will be a part of a compassionate and dedicated team providing the highest standard of person-centered care to our residents. You'll join a care team where compassion and empathy accompany the delivery of exceptional clinical and personal care to our residents every day.
What will you bring to the role?
- You will hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable)
- Medication Assist Competency (desirable)
- You will have an understanding of Aged Care and Residents rights and responsibilities
- You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
- You will work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner
- Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
- You must be flexible with your availability of days and shift times
Who is Southern Cross Care?
Southern Cross Care (SCC) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
Since then, SCC has grown to employ over 1700 staff caring for and supporting more than 2000 people across 17 residential aged care homes, 8 retirement villages, 28 social houses, the National Disability and Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and home care services in metropolitan and regional Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
