About You:
Are you a seasoned consultant/contract lawyer looking for a fresh approach, or a lawyer thinking of taking the leap to flex-working in 2026? If you are interested in finding out what it's like to work with us as a Reach Legal Consultant, we would love to hear from you.

Skills and Experience needed:
With a growing base of clients in Brisbane, we would love to talk to lawyers with a current Practising Certificate (or ability to obtain one) who are interested in exploring opportunities to work with Ashurst clients or within one of the firm's Practice Groups.

With a diverse client base across a range of industries, we are able to offer a variety of interesting assignments. Many roles are hybrid and we can work with you to find a role that suits you in terms of numbers of days/hours worked.

We regularly have opportunities for lawyers with excellent experience in the following areas:

  • Banking & Finance
  • Construction and Projects
  • Corporate/M&A
  • Employment law
  • Energy/Resources/Utilities
  • Environment & Planning/Native Title
  • General Commercial Contracts
  • Technology/IP
  • Dispute Resolution/Investigations

As well as relevant legal experience you will need:

  • Senior stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • The ability to rapidly understand and adapt to the needs of the business
  • An excellent client service focus, ethic and commitment
  • The right to live and work in Australia (and be based here) and hold or be able to obtain a current practising certificate
  • Willingness to engage with Ashurst via an Independent Incorporated Legal Practice or casual employment
