Early Childhood Educator

Pachamama Pty Ltd provides care for children aged 0-12 years old in our Early Childhood Education and care centre and Activity Centre for Outside School Hours Care.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity for an EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR has arrived to work with Pachamama Pty Ltd on a full-time 38-hour basis with a salary of $76,515 per year, plus superannuation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Provide and deliver high quality early childhood education and care to children;

-Implementing and upholding the policies and associated procedures and practices of Pachamama;

-Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of Pachamama's operations.;

-Contribute to the delivery of a program which is relevant to individual children's current knowledge and provide scaffolding for learning;

-Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) teaching decisions to assist children by scaffolding learning and achieving goals and elements of the outcomes, principles and practices;

-In consultation with the families and other Educators, be responsible to implement the daily programs which reflect the EYLF and teaching decisions to assist children by scaffolding learning and achieving goals;

-Be part of a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care;

-Have adequate knowledge and understanding of the provision of education and care to children and have an ability to effectively deliver the education and care service;

-Working in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and applicable regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care;

-Supporting the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at Pachamama;

-Keeping up-to-date with relevant theoretical practices and apply where directed;

-Maintaining and upholding Workplace Health and Safety;

-Maintaining and upholding privacy and confidentiality;

-Providing ongoing support and assistance to other staff in all areas of Pachamama's operation;

-Providing ongoing support and assistance to the Management Team;

-Maintaining a sound knowledge and understanding of the EYLF and the National Quality Standards;

-Ensuring you have a sound understanding of the expectations outlined in this document to enable work performance to be executed according to our service standards;

-Undertaking other duties as requested by the Centre Manager and Room Manager.

Skills and experience required:

-Diploma-level Early Childhood Education Qualification – CHC52021 or equivalent.

-Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) / Police Clearance – essential for compliance.

-Experience in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs for children aged 0–5 years.

-Knowledge and sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and NQF standards to guide curriculum delivery.

-Strong communication skills – ability to engage with children, families, and colleagues effectively.

-Behaviour guidance and conflict resolution – supporting children's social and emotional development.

-Ability to observe, document, critically think and assess children's learning and development accurately.

-Teamwork and leadership experience – mentoring or supporting less experienced educators.

-First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training – up-to-date and compliant with regulations.

-Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practice in early childhood education.
