What You'll Do

  • Lead design management across all project stages, ensuring alignment with time, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Engage in open communication and regular reporting with project stakeholders, advising on risks, scope gaps, and Value Management opportunities.
  • Ensure risks identified in Design Reviews are actioned and closed out, while coordinating file structures and Aconex systems with the team prior to project commencement.
  • Assist Estimating and Business Development teams with concept design cost planning and support the tender/submission/ECI phase.
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor Design Programs and Budgets, and manage design meetings, workshops, and consultant engagements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of design approaches, systems, procedures, and documentation to enhance project efficiency.

Who You Are

  • Essential: Proven experience in builder-side delivery or as a lead project architect on major live projects, including large-scale new builds or fit-outs.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management and/or Architecture, with experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment.
  • Extensive design experience with a sound understanding of design principles, compliance codes, and construction methodologies.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, communication, and time management skills, with exposure to platforms like SharePoint and Aconex.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a strong team-focused approach.
