Principal, Technology Assurance Services
The Role:
We're looking for a pivotal technical expert to join our Delivery team as a Principal, Technology Assurance Services. You will drive high-impact technical assessments and provide services to clients across Australia's heavily regulated industries. This role is designed to leverage deep technical and regulatory expertise to identify client challenges, articulate the value of Logicalis's managed services, and generate downstream opportunities, operating with a 60% billable and 40% non-billable work split. You will play a critical role in expanding Logicalis's footprint in key areas such as compliance, cybersecurity, cloud, and emerging AI/ML governance.
What You'll Do:
Technical Assessment & Advisory Delivery (Approx. 60% Billable)
Lead and deliver Logicalis's Order of Magnitude (OOM) offerings and other technical assessments, including but not limited to:
APRA CPS 230 Gap Analysis
- Privacy Act Assessments
- SOCI Act Risk Assessment & Gap Analysis
- Zero Trust Readiness Assessments
- Secure CI/CD Pipeline Assessments
- AI Readiness & Risk Assessments
- AI Data Privacy Audits
- Conduct in-depth technical analysis of client environments, identifying critical gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement aligned with Logicalis's service catalogue.
- Develop comprehensive, high-quality assessment reports and strategic roadmaps that clearly articulate findings, recommendations, and the business value of proposed solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders, including C-suite executives and board members, translating complex technical concepts into clear business implications.
- Provide expert technical and advisory services on Logicalis's core offerings, including Compliance-as-a-Service (CaaS), DevSecOps-as-a-Service, and Sovereign & Hybrid Cloud Solutions.
- Offer specialized guidance on emerging areas such as AI Governance & Risk Management, Secure AI Development & Deployment, and AI Data Sovereignty & Privacy.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through complex technical and regulatory challenges.
Strategic Contribution & Capability Development (Approx. 40% Non-Billable)
- Proactively identify "downstream opportunities" for Logicalis's long-term, high-margin managed services based on assessment findings and client interactions.
- Collaborate closely with Logicalis Account Executives (AEs) and sales teams to qualify leads, develop compelling proposals, and ensure seamless handover of opportunities.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including client presentations, workshops, and solution design, to support the sales cycle for complex engagements.
- Drive the strategy and evolution of Logicalis Australia's technical assessment and technical offerings, ensuring alignment with market demands and client needs.
- Partner with sales, delivery, and executive leadership to align technical assessment and advisory priorities with Logicalis's strategic growth objectives.
- Provide executive-ready insights from technical assessments, highlighting key risks, opportunities, and potential downstream engagements.
- Develop and contribute to Logicalis's intellectual property, including whitepapers, solution briefs, and best practice guides related to technical assessments, compliance, cybersecurity, cloud, and AI/ML governance.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, regulatory changes (e.g., APRA CPS 230, SOCI Act, Privacy Act, AI regulations), and technological advancements to ensure Logicalis's offerings remain cutting-edge.
- Contribute to the internal upskilling of Logicalis teams (e.g., sales, delivery) through training sessions and knowledge sharing, enhancing overall organizational capability.
- Uplift Logicalis's technical assessment and advisory capabilities, coaching delivery teams and contributing to best practices.
- Support the development of new assessment methodologies and tools, and contribute to the articulation of business cases for recommended solutions.
- Optimise tools and processes used for technical assessments and reporting.
What Success Looks Like:
Success in this role will be multifaceted, combining individual performance with a significant contribution to Logicalis Australia's strategic growth and market positioning.
1. Gross Profit Contribution, Yield, and Billable Utilization: Consistently achieved the 60% billable utilization target by delivering high-quality technical assessments and advisory engagements. This directly contributed to Logicalis's gross profit goals by prioritizing yield per full-time associate (FTA) and optimizing resource allocation.
2. Downstream Opportunity Generation: Proactively identifying and successfully handing over a measurable number of qualified "downstream opportunities" (larger, recurring revenue managed service contracts) to the Logicalis sales teams. This is crucial for expanding Logicalis's long-term, high-margin recurring revenue streams.
3. Client Impact & Satisfaction: Delivering assessments that provide clear, actionable value to clients, leading to high client satisfaction scores and positive feedback. Clients should view you as a trusted expert who helps them navigate complex technical and regulatory landscapes.
4. Thought Leadership & IP Development: Regularly contributing to Logicalis's intellectual property through the creation of high-quality technical content (e.g., whitepapers, solution blueprints, internal best practices) that enhances Logicalis's market presence and internal capabilities.
5. Sales Enablement & Internal Collaboration: Actively supporting sales teams in pre-sales activities, contributing to deal progression, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with Account Executives and other internal stakeholders. Your expertise should empower sales teams to articulate Logicalis's value proposition more effectively.
6. Market Relevance & Expertise: Maintaining and continuously enhancing deep technical and regulatory expertise, particularly in emerging areas like AI/ML governance and security, ensuring Logicalis remains at the forefront of addressing critical client needs in regulated industries.
What You'll Bring:
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in technical solution architecture, or senior technical roles within IT services, with a strong focus on assessments and advisory.
- Deep technical expertise in one or more of Logicalis's key service areas: Compliance (e.g., APRA CPS 230, Essential Eight, ISO 27001, SOCI Act, Privacy Act), Cybersecurity, Cloud Solutions (Sovereign/Hybrid Cloud, Zero Trust), or AI/ML governance and security.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage at all levels – from C-level to project teams.
- Experience with technical assessment methodologies, reporting tools, and articulating business value.
- Comfort navigating complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional client-facing skills, with the ability to build rapport, understand complex business needs, and communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous approach to technical assessments and report generation.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple engagements concurrently.
- Experience working for Australian regulated industries is highly advantageous.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure certifications, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) highly desirable.
