About The Role

Reporting to the Home Assessing Team Leader, the Desktop Assessor is responsible for the end-to-end management of allocated claims. You will establish the cause of damage as well as determining the scope and cost of repair to insured properties, whilst maintaining excellent customer service.

  • Conduct desktop assessments of insured properties using virtual assessing and/or causation reports  provided by our panel suppliers;
  • Produce detailed reports, determine cause, coverage, damage and best repair methods;
  • Review scope of works and expert reports to ensure  the most cost effective and timely method of repairs;
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including; local authorities and third-party building surveyors.
  • Negotiate and define the scope of work and associated costing with key stakeholders;
  • End to end claim management, managing a range of cost, quality and service controls in conjunction with the Claims Operations Team.
  • To achieve consistent adherence to key performance measures (KPI)
  • Submitting reports, reviewing SOW's and documentation in a timely manner (as per set SLA's)

What experience you'll bring;

  • Previous experience working within the insurance, building or construction industry highly desirable
  • Exceptional customer service and supplier relationship management experience
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced high pressure environments
  • Ability to prepare scope of works, quotes and estimations extremely advantageous
  • Confident using technology
