We are seeking experienced, self-motivated Assistants in Nursing to join our diverse and passionate nursing team in our Private Hospital on a casual or part-time basis in our rehabilitation and surgical ward.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality, person-centered care to all patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/HIC/NUM
  • Observe, identify and report to a Registered Nurse/HIC/NUM changes in a patient's abilities and /or conditions
  • Contribute to on-going care planning
  • Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol
  • Accountable for accepting and carrying out the care delegated by the Registered Nurse/HIC/NUM
  • Demonstrate St Luke's Care Values of Excellence, Transparency, Integrity, Respect and Trust both inside and outside of work

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum Certificate III
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with patients, their family and friends as well as colleagues
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
