About Us

East Coast Apprenticeships is a Group Training Organisation (GTO) that employees Apprentices and Trainees across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and the Wide-Bay region. ECA has been in operation for over 35 years and are proud to have supported thousands of Apprentices and Trainees in developing practical skills across a variety of host employers to achieve their chosen trade qualification.

We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team.

The Position

The Marketing and Communications Specialist will develop strategic communication that reinforces trust and industry awareness of ECA and focuses on the promotion and marketing of ECA's corporate image to host employers and apprentices/trainees.

The position will create and drive impactful campaigns that increase awareness and uptake of ECA's group training services, and market an organisational culture that is passionate about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

This role will oversee and deliver all marketing initiatives for ECA's website, socials, corporate communications, marketing collateral and have responsibility for coordinating the annual ECA Awards Night. Involvement will also be required at industry/community engagement events.

Key responsibilities

(i Develop, drive and maintain targeted communication and marketing campaigns that align with ECA's brand and organisational goals.

(ii Lead and manage innovative and engaging content for various platforms (incl. ECA website, socials, and marketing collateral) that tap into topical and social issues and promote ECA's objectives and culture.

(iii Oversee the writing, editing and proofing of all ECA corporate publications and communication templates to ensure consistency, quality and alignment with ECA's brand messaging.

(iv Work closely with senior management at ECA to optimise the performance of campaigns in the market and proactively suggest improvements to create new frameworks for future strategies.

(v Prepare high-quality submissions, reports and communications to the ECA Executive and ensure timely, informed analysis and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

(vi In consultation with the CEO and GM Business Services, proactively manage media relations including media releases and corporate publications/events (including the annual ECA Awards Night)

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media or a related field
  • Previous experience within the marketing and communications industry (minimum 3yrs experience, but 5yrs preferred).
  • Ability to guide ECA on appropriate marketing tools and software that will assist in providing maximum exposure on socials (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook etc)
  • Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks as required, including competing deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to successfully engage and work with stakeholders across a range of industries
  • A innovative, results-driven approach to strategic communication, that will reinforce ECA's reputation, culture and corporate image
